It took four years to complete this update. In the process, we added 15,000 cameras for a total of over 40,000 cameras listed. We also added about 4,000 more photographs for a total of 10,000. Over 350 pages of new text and photos have been added, for a total of 1248 pages!
Despite the great increase in content, we have managed to keep the book in a single volume. We chose a thinner paper, but one of high opacity and harder surface to improve the appearance of the photos. We have also improved the softcover edition by using sewn pages rather than simple adhesive binding.
With an increase of 38% in the size of the book, you would naturally expect a similar increase in price, but we have set the prices exactly the same as the last edition:
Hardcover edition (ISBN 0-931838-40-1) has a cover price of $139 in USA and €139 in Europe.
Softcover edition (ISBN 0-931838-41-X) has a cover price of $125 in USA and €125 in Europe.
